The X-Files Redux

As much as I enjoy the series, I was sorely disappointed with this movie. It was okay but it wasn’t exactly great. I wouldn’t say it was bad either though that just may be the sheer joy of seeing Mulder and Scully back on the screen speaking.

I took my friend along to the movie and she was falling asleep. She, like many other people and reviewers out there, was disappointed at the lack of aliens and or monsters in the movie. Chris Carter said this was going to be a “monster of the week” type movie but it didn’t exactly have a monster either.

If you watch it, be sure to stay after the credits.

I sincerely hope that there will be an X-Files 3.

i think people were expecting a big budget fiasco, and instead I WANT TO BELIEVE has almost an indie feel to it. it’s more about mulder and scully’s relationship then the actual crime or x file. i recommend you see it again, it gets better every time you watch it.

and yes here’s hoping to XF3.

Of course I’ll buy the DVD when it comes out but I don’t think I’ll be paying another $11.95 to watch it again in theatres. It’s no Wall-E haha.

I did enjoy the Mulder Scully relationship as well, that’s one reason I probably didn’t find the movie that bad.

I’m afraid the odds in us getting an X-Files 3 is pretty slim as it stands… though I really want to see the 2012 mytharc wrap up in a blaze of Mulder glory.

Also, that remixed version of the X-Files theme was pretty cool.
