That's not a wormhole at the beginning, it's a scene from the miniseries, heading out of this nebula that cylons are allergic to, and where ftl jumps are impossible to calculate/make.

There are some survivors on Caprica, but very few, anders group was not all of them, and survivors probably were on the other planets too, just without any working space craft (one must assume they eventually got them to work, but by that time, they probably didn't care anymore and stayed)

I'm not sure who you're addressing specifically but if you were talking to me, I rarely take ferries because I live in Vancouver. That trip was just a two day vacation. Though, I don't see how someone living in an area that requires the use of ferries makes it their fault if the ferry is four hours late.

I have travelled abroad, perhaps even more than you'd expect, I grew up in three separate countries and have backpacked through a few other continents. I can say that BC Ferries doesn't have the lowest fares in the "world of ferry travel" but it does maintain a "clean and healthy" service standard when it's on time.

While my comment of BC Ferries having the "worst service ever" may have been a bit exaggerated, it does hold some truth. If I recall, they've upped their fuel tariffs twice in the last few months yet have failed to remedy anything with the increases. They sank a boat in the last year or two which resulted in two deaths and there was also an ocassion where a ferry didn't slow down and rammed the dock. They might have also been the ones responsible for selling the "fast ferries" to Seattle for a fraction of the original cost. This was followed by them buying new ferries from Germany even though Vancouver has perfectly good dry docks and manufacturers.

I wouldn't put all the blame the Unions, you should take a look at the people running the actual "company." The people who work the ships and service are generally excellent people but I bet the ones who run BC Ferries don't even take the ferry.

I can't believe the whinging and whining of these complainers. It's a free world and they are obviously of adult age, if not adult mentality, so why choose to live somewhere that necessitates using the Ferry System?
They obviously have never travelled abroad otherwise they would appreciate that the BC Ferry System has the lowest Fares of anywhere in World of Ferry Travel and maintains an absolutely excellent, clean and healthy service standard. It would be even more reliable if they could rid themselves of the featherbedding Union that throws a wrench into the system from time to time, for political reasons no doubt.

That scene at the beginning of the show is from the mini-series. Galactica is leading the fleet out of atmosphere of Ragnar, a gas giant planet. The station in the background they are leaving is called Ragnar Anchorage where Galactica was able to rearm. Whether Galactica is unable jump or do too many more of them doesn't seem to matter... the ship is sinking.

There are no survivors on Caprica except for Anders group which were evacuated in season 2. The nuclear fallout and the remaining Cylons (before they left) would have killed them all. We know Anders group survived only because Cavil wanted to prolong the suffering of the Final 5.

Starbuck is a chick in the re-imaged series. We also don't know if Cavil killed the single Daniel copy which was produced, the one which Ellen became attached to. Starbuck might be related to him in some way as the upcoming series Caprica involves the Centurion-Cylon creator Daniel Graystone losing his daughter in an act of terrorism and he uses it fortune and expertise to recreate her through AI and cybernetics.

Of course I'll buy the DVD when it comes out but I don't think I'll be paying another $11.95 to watch it again in theatres. It's no Wall-E haha.

I did enjoy the Mulder Scully relationship as well, that's one reason I probably didn't find the movie that bad.

I'm afraid the odds in us getting an X-Files 3 is pretty slim as it stands... though I really want to see the 2012 mytharc wrap up in a blaze of Mulder glory.

Also, that remixed version of the X-Files theme was pretty cool.

i think people were expecting a big budget fiasco, and instead I WANT TO BELIEVE has almost an indie feel to it. it's more about mulder and scully's relationship then the actual crime or x file. i recommend you see it again, it gets better every time you watch it.

and yes here's hoping to XF3.
