Half Blood Prince Excerpt

July 11th, 2005

He looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp. He sneered in Harry’s direction.

Harry shrieked as his scar burned.

“Potter,” he said.

Harry was frozen into place, unable to move.

“Now you die,” the man reached into his robes and retrieved his wand, “Facetus malum!”

Harry fell to the floor with a loud thud, life escaping from his eyes, and died.
